Purchasing & shipping

I want you to be thrilled with your new art. If you have any questions please contact me in advance.

Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and colour. The image you see online may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and slight inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.

Purchasing with a deposit

If you would like to purchase an original painting over $1500 you are welcome to purchase in stages. As the value of my work grows I understand this can be a helpful option. A 50% deposit is payable to hold your painting . The balance can be paid the following month or in 2 monthly payments of 25% each. Please contact me if you are interested in arranging this.

What about large or high value artworks?

I appreciate this is a high value purchase – and a piece of work I have have spent a lot of time creating. It’s important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry so certain pieces have individual requirements. Shipping costs for large artworks need to be quoted individually – please contact me before purchasing. I will then contact you via email to discuss options before the artwork is shipped. If you buy online first in order to secure the painting the shipping cost will be billed separately after agreement.

I often remove the painting from the stretcher bars and ship larger paintings rolled. This is a very cost-effective way to ship large paintings and most frame shops can easily re-stretch a canvas for you and install the hanging hardware.

Commissions

Because my work is process-driven it’s virtually impossible to predict what a final work is going to look like. This used to terrify me when I first started painting and when I was asked to do a commission I would get worked into a state because it was impossible to articulate to my client what the final painting would look like, exactly.

Since then, I have become much more comfortable with my process. I actually enjoy creating commissions and I now book a limited number every year.

If you like my work, feel free to contact me about a commission and we can arrange a time for a studio visit or to chat on the phone or Facetime. We can discuss size and the colours and marks that you are most drawn to.

If you would like a portrait of your beloved pet or a site-specific landscape that is special to you there are other artists who would do a much better job for you. Just sayin’.

Policy: 50% of agreed price is due before work begins.

Please allow 4 - 8 weeks for development. I will send you a photo of the work near resolution for your review as well as the completed work. If you are local I will invite you to my studio to see the work in person. If you like it, the balance is payable and you take it home. If it’s not what you had in mind, the painting stays with me and your 50% deposit can be used as a credit towards future work over the next year.
